Old museum with the oldest library in town

Very beautiful museum with frescoes by Beato Angelico. It is an antique monastery, so the structure is already very beautiful itself, with cloisters, the cells where the monks used to live, the library. Very beautiful and easy museum for families. No many tourists, no need to book ahead.

“This place feels very peaceful. Especially, night is a more beautiful place. If you visit Florence, make sure to stop by this place. And this is also the historic site of the first orphanage in Europe.”

“Walking distance from home 15 min. Many copies of this statue exist and 2 of these are in Florence, but the original is absolutely worth to be seen”

“If you're interested in medicinal plants go and visit this incredible garden and lose yourself amongst all the species that are present and meticulously cultivated. Right in the center of town, this hidden gem is exceptionally beautiful in the spring time when most plants are blooming.”
