Lots of wildlife to be seen, beautiful beach, and playground for the kiddos.
Atalaya Castle is here too! You can rent some bikes in Murrells Inlet and ride the bike along some awesome bike paths to Huntington Beach and back.
Be sure to check out "Atalaya", the picturesque, Moorish-style winter home of Archer and Anna Hyatt Huntington, philanthropist and sculptor, respectively, who left the park and adjacent Brookgreen Gardens as their legacy.
Good Bike Trail, Good walking trails, Beautiful undeveloped beach’s, well worth your time. The partially restored Huntington Estate guided tour is great and does a good job of painting a picture of the area in the 1930s

“Hopsewee Plantation is location on the south Santee River and has a delightful restaurant and store. There is a fee to tour the original plantation home, but walking around the property is free of charge. I'd recommend having lunch at the restaurant - delicious local fare!”
