Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Classical Chinese Garden is the first classical Chinese Garden in all of Canada! It is the perfect place to visit year-round, with covered walkways and beautiful pavilions protecting you from Vancouver’s famous rainforest conditions.

Enjoy a peaceful walk through the first Chinese or "scholars" garden built outside of China. This traditional classic Chinese garden was named in honour of leader of the Chinese Nationalist Party, known as the father of modern China. Influential in overthrowing the Qing dynasty (1911/12).

“Under Vancouver's favorite geodesic dome (OK, it's only one), this ever-popular science showcase has tonnes of hands-on galleries and a cool outdoor park crammed with rugged fun (yes, you can lift 2028kg). Inside, there are two floors of brilliant educational play, from plasma balls to whisper dishes. Check out the live critters in the Sara Stern Gallery, the bodily functions exhibits in the BodyWorks area, then fly over a city on the virtual-reality Birdly ride ($8 extra).”

“Rogers Arena is an indoor sports arena located at 800 Griffiths Way in the downtown area of Vancouver, British Columbia. Opened in 1995, the arena was known as General Motors Place (GM Place) from its opening until July 6, 2010, when General Motors Canada ended its naming rights sponsorship and a new agreement for those rights was reached with Rogers Communications. Rogers Arena was built to replace Pacific Coliseum as Vancouver's primary indoor sports facility and in part due to the National Basketball Association's 1995 expansion into Canada, when Vancouver and Toronto were given expansion teams.”

“Walk to the dingy dock at the Plaza of Nations (8 min) and catch a boat ride over to Granville Island! It is great to walk around the market, get a coffee from JJ Bean (our favourite) and check out all the neat shops. There is also a improv comedy sometimes. Check it out online for more info! Note: the market can be quite busy on the weekend! Go early at opening to avoid so many people :)”
