It sits atop a promontory opposite the Bass Rock, looking out onto the Firth of Forth. An amazing ruin on the cliff tops, worth a visit on a sunny day with a picnic!

Tantallon castle is owned and run by Historic Scotland and well worth a visit. Afterwards (or before) visit Drift which is very close to the castle. This is a cafe built from shipping containers. As well as great food the views of the sea with the Bass rock close by are spectacular.
