Just down the hill from us, you could even walk there. Recommended to see how monks lived, and, among many other things to see, for the beautiful courtyard and frescoes by Pontormo.

A beautiful monastery this Certosa del Galluzzo top of a little hill sourrounding by olive trees, easy reachable by bus 36. Entrance is for free. Close in Monday.

The Certosa complex is located on the top of Monte Acuto, also known as “Monte Santo”, a conical-shaped hill located near the town of Galluzzo, south of Florence. If you are interested in this kind of architecture, this is an amazing example of ancient monastery...it dates back to 1300
