Grays Harbor National Wildlife Refuge is located at the mouth of the Chehalis River, which makes up the second largest watershed in Washington. It is a major staging area for migrating shorebirds in the Pacific Flyway. Up to one million shorebirds gather here in spring and fall to feed and rest, as well as Bald Eagles, hawks and wren's. It is only a 3.8 mile, 8 min. drive to experience the roughly 2 mile, out and back, trail.

Grays Harbor National Wildlife Refuge is a 1.9 mile lightly trafficked out and back trail located near Hoquiam, Washington that offers the chance to see wildlife and is good for all skill levels. The trail offers a number of activity options and is accessible year-round.

Terrific place for a walk, and to see many shore birds. They even have signs along the trail, so you learn as you go along. Great for all ages!
