The Ballito Cable Ski Park is maxed out with exciting sports and adventure. It is all about family fun, with a generous dose of adrenalin for those that want to test their limits. This park is designed to cater for people of all ages, and has excellent facilities for a full day out. The water sports make use of a cable ski, which is 350 metres long and nine metres high. There are slider rails and kicker ramps for more experienced skiers. THE BALLITO CABLE SKI PARK OFFERS •Wakeboarding – get pulled along on a wakeboard from cables above you (as opposed to a boat in the water). •Fly-boarding – try this awesome sport that propels you and your board into the air using the power of water. This is hydroflight at its best. •Lake jumping – soar through the air on BMX bicycles. •Knee boarding – hold on tight as you cross the lake on your knees, pulled by the cable system overhead. •Segway tours – for some land-based fun, explore the area on a nifty little segway, which is fun and easy to use. The manmade Lumo Beach is small, but offers everything that makes a beach special – including inviting waters, white sands, and umbrellas. A lifeguard is on duty and there are safe swimming zones clearly laid out for swimmers. The ski park also has a café with hot coffee, cold soft drinks, pizzas, burgers and sandwiches. It is great for a mid-adventure refresher, or for parents that prefer to enjoy the more sedate side of life while the others do their thing. The park is accessible to wheelchairs and those with physical disabilities, and there are clean ablutions. There is also a sheltered seating area from where to watch the fun, a sundowner viewing deck, a grassy area that is ideal for picnics, and a fire pit. This hub of fun is situated in Ballito, Kwa-Zulu Natal, where sunshine and warm days are the norm almost all year round.
