Visit the Quarantine Station at North Head, an interesting place with lots of history (and it’s free to roam)! Take a Ghost Tour and sample the cuisine at The Boilerhouse - you must book though. Head towards Manly Wharf, wind your way up to the cliff top.

A historic area of Sydney with small museums and tours operating year round including ghost tours - book in advance. Lovely little quiet beach as well. That is serviced infrequently in summer by the fast ferry - check time table for details or drive to.

Q Station is only a few minutes drive from home.... a 20min walk.... or a few minutes on the fast ferry. Historical significance and worth a visit. 1837-1984 used to isolate new ship arrivals suspected of carrying disease. Interesting small museum and buildings. There's a great set of stairs you can choose to use... i trained on these when heading to Everest Base camp . Join a night ghost tour!

Hidden gem with an interesting museum plus original buildings from when it was used for quarantine. Down on the waterfront is a lovely cafe to enjoy lunch.
