Can stop off at the Angel of the North. This is very close. Can walk up to the Angel from the side of the road. Can park there.

I live near here and I love to take my dog here on a summer evening as it’s a nice walk and I love the views of the angel against various skies.

“Darlington was home to the world's first railway, so where better to learn about the history of trains and rail travel than this museum in the town's original station.”

“Part of the British Museum, this is free entry and is a great way to spend a couple of hours. Diverse selection of trains both inside and outside. ”

“Avoid the city centre and the nightmare of parking to do your shopping! The Gateshead Metro Centre is a lovely large mall with all the main chain stores like M&S, Next, Debenhams, Primark, TKMaxx and Boots, in addition to numerous boutiques and dozens of restaurants. There is also a massive ten screen cinema attached. There's a kiddy train that drives around the mall and comfortable seating spread throughout to take a little break from shopping. Outside of the mall is a retail park with a 24 hour Asda, Ikea and other big stores.”
