Aggressive hike, last half mile sketchy climb with incredible views. The hike is pretty all the way.

Angel's landing is spectacular. It gets hot though, so it's better to do it as early as possible in the morning. Even if you decide to stop at Scout's Lookout and not go up the chain-laden part of the trail, it still offers great views and a nice workout with all the switchbacks! You'll have to…

This is our favorite hike in Zion National Park. But be warned, this hike is very strenuous, but very worth it. ALL the other trails in Zion National Park are great as well, we love them all.

My favorite hike in Utah. Not for those who are afraid of heights.

“An incredible, easy hike that leads you to a vista looking down over the Zion Valley (and even Angel's Landing.) Well worth the 3 miles one way to the overlook! ”

“The Narrows hike is my favorite in Zion. It has you wading in water almost the entire time, and some spots can be waist deep or higher. It's best to rent shoes, neoprene socks and a stick to hike past the paved Riverside Walk portion. Zion Guru, Zion Adventure Company, or any of the other outfitters in Springdale should have them. You should be able to return them after hours if need be, most places are cool about that. Another option that I've had luck with is finding used gear to actually puchase for cheaper than you can rent! Once the rental shoes have tears in them or something, they usually put them up for sale, but they're still good shoes that do what you need them to do. Dry bags are a good idea to protect your belongings. You can make a whole day out of the narrows bottom up hike... The further you go up, the cooler the air gets, and the less people you see. It's more strenuous than you'd think because the water adds an extra challenge, but that said, the way back down is much quicker than the way up since you're going with the current. You can even take a side jaunt up Orderville canyon for a bit - there will be waterfalls you'll have to get up and over, so that can be wetter than the Narrows itself. The narrows bottom up (the one you don't need a permit for) is accessible via the shuttle thru main canyon. To catch the shuttle, you can park either inside the park or in the town of Springdale. The easiest places to catch it are at the main visitor center or the museum, and I often have luck finding street parking between those 2 stops. Parking inside the park at all the lots and along the road (rte 9) is free. Parking in Springdale is $$ so I try to avoid that. They do enforce it! Cell service is spotty/non existent in a lot of the park itself, so send last minute messages before getting on the shuttle. ”

“Beautiful place to hike and camp! It has several beautiful natural pools to swim in and small waterfalls. It's a kid friendly hike with a bit of shade here and there. In the spring the river is flowing and you often need to cross it so the shoes will most likey get soaked. In the summer the river dries and the pools become tepid but they are usually full of tadpoles so it's still a lot of fun for the kids..”

“For the hot summer months, playing in the river is one of our favorite activities. A great place to jump in is Conflence Park. You can access the trail from either the Hurricane side at the end of North Main Street or from LaVerkin. There is a long trail that borders the river and offers views of the lava flow.”

“Kolob Canyon is the northern tip of Zion National park and a short 30 minute drive. All the beauty of Zion without the crowds or hassle of booking a shuttle. My favorite trail is the Taylor creek trail.”
