Great hike with a Big Bang for your buck. Beautiful view of Gore mountain. Moderate hike with some steep areas. The trailhead is down an unpaved road that is not always plowed in the winter. So better for summer or autumn hike

Approximately 25 minutes drive to the trail head which is in Minerva NY. Moderate hike about 5.5 miles. Nice views at the top.

This is a relatively new trail and becoming more popular. It is about 2.5 miles each way with about 1000 ft elevation gain on the way in. It is a very interesting hike in that nice views can be had several times on the way to the summit. The summit itself has a large, open rocky top that is perfect for panoramic pictures and picnics. The walk includes a mix of steep sections, flat sections and some ups and downs. Unlike some other mountain trails, (ex. Hadley Mountain- A beautiful view but the trail is constantly up) this provides a nice mix of terrain.
