Lovely market town on the river Derwent. Lots of shops ,pubs and cafes. Great picnic spots alongside the river.

Bakewell is a beautiful market town with so many shops and attractions to visit, you could have a sumptuous meal at one of the many eateries located within the town and treat yourselves to the most famous original Bakewell tart at the Old Bakewell pudding shop. There is a bustling market on a Monday selling many wares and the famous River Wye with huge trout and ducks waiting for their next treat from the passers by. Ashbourne is also a very pretty market town ready to be explored and enjoyed by the intrepid traveller, they hold popular markets on Thursdays which have a character and atmosphere that makes them a unique shopping experience and have something to please everyone.
