I enjoyed the beautiful drive, colors, history, and very kind people. A must if you are in Loreto. Enjoy the views, sit for a coffee on small restaurant, and admire the silence.

Second oldest on the Camino Real to Loreto's Mision de Nuestra Senora de Loreto, Mision San Javier and the quiet town is worth the drive up in the mountains. Be sure and visit the museum at the back of the church.

Located only 34 KM fromthe first mision in the Californias, San Javier is home to the second mision. It is a great example of a virtually untouched mision from 1699.

Excelente lugar para conocer la cultura e historia de nuestra region, hacer caminata, conocer arte historico en sus cuevas pintadas por nuestros antepasados, practicar fotografia, deleitarse con platillos regionales entre otras. Excellent place to learn about the culture and history of our region, go for a walk, learn about historical art in its caves painted by our ancestors, practice photography, enjoy regional dishes among others.
