Take a bus to Crail and then walk along the coastal path back to St Andrews - about 5/7 hours in all but stunning views along coast.

From Dalgety Bay all the way to St Andrews, you can walk or drive. So much to see, do and eat. This is where I take my children for a fun day out and no two times are ever the same.

Beautiful hiking with amazing views. The hike between The Fairmont and St Andrews is the best, takes approximately 1 1/2 hrs one way. From The Fairmont Clubhouse and ends at East sands or Harbour. Check the tides before you go as there are portions that are tidal as well as wear good walking shoes as there is some rough terrain.
