Head downtown and walk around this historic fort. The outer grounds are open 24/7 and it is fun to walk around anytime of the day!
The old Spanish fort on the downtown bay front. Good the check out at least once. Cannons , carvings on wall made by homesick 17th century Spanish sailors. And bar none the best place in town to hole up during a zombie apocalypse .
A national park. Even if you don't care to venture inside, take a walk around the grounds. We often sit on the sea wall or bring a blanket and have a picnic on the green
Located in downtown St. Augustine, our city’s most cherished monument! Amazing that it still stands to this day!

“Very unusual place to visit. See alligators and other reptiles and birds in a zoo setting. Locals like to visit with their kids and I use to go with my grandmother every summer. ”

“The lighthouse is a must see. You can climb to the top or just walk around the grounds. From the top, you can see all of St. Augustine! I like to find things that I have visited to get my barrings. The Museum is low key and very informative. There is a little place to get Lemonade and adult beverages. ”

“See some of the worlds most interesting curiosities. Me and my girls have been many times. Its a very large place so give yourself some time to see it all. You can spend as little time as you want or breeze through the scary parts. ”

“One of my favorite restaurant’s downtown. Farm to table with homemade sauces and special cocktails. The pickled shrimp is a must. ”

“History. Craft Cocktails. Food. Need I say more? Honestly, it's just fun to go here. You have to see the bathrooms. No, I'm not joking, the entire place features original architecture and fixtures from the building's original purpose which was - wait for it - an Ice Plant. It has a prohibition era feel to it. Make sure to take a tour of the St. Augustine Distillery while you're here.”
