Lady Bird is my hero. Learn about her mission and accomplishments with a visit to this educational experience.
A wonderful place to walk and enjoy the local landscape of central Texas. This is a jewel located nearby. No reservations needed and they have a nice small sandwich shop.
We LOVE LBJ Wildflower center! Take a walk when the flowers are in bloom, go to one of their unique interactive art installations (currently Fortlandia!) or attend one of their evening events! Check their website for times and tickets.
Admission fee around $10. Beautiful garden/ exhibitions of wildflowers native to Texas’ landscape. Historical and aesthetic.
Great for families or flower lovers! It’s a bit of walking...but a fun outting when it’s not too hot!
A local treasure. The center features more than 900 species of native Texas plants in both garden and natural settings and is home to a breadth of educational programs and events. 4801 la crosse ave austin, TX 78739
The Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center has absolutely gorgeous flowers year-round!
A must-see for any garden lover or anyone looking for a peaceful walk, especially in spring to late-spring. Full of Texas native plants and outdoor architecture to honor the legacy of First Lady Ladybird Johnson.
Beautiful place to see the flowers bloom and see Ladybird Johnsons vision of ecological conservation. Nature trails, local flowers, kids area

“The pink-granite building is the centerpiece of downtown Austin, perched on a hill at 12th Street and Congress Avenue. Free guided tours are held daily, starting in the South Foyer, but brochures are also available on the first floor for self-guided tours. The Texas Legislature meets every two years, so you’ll have to check the schedule if you want to see an actual session in progress.”

“There are about 5-6 Austin locations. This is one of the first ever- dine and drink booze while you watch cinemas. The downtown is the original location. Make sure to check out their website as they are constantly showing "old movies" like cult-classics, sing-a-longs, halloween themes slashers or comedic live narrated shows (the famous "Mr. Pancake Theater" (just like Mystery Science Theater). A great rainy-day thing to do!”

“On the UT campus is the LBJ library. Listen to recordings of LBJ’s phone calls by picking up the many phones on the walls around the museum.”
