Nantucket is a small island that’s a quick boat trip out Hyannis (under an hour.) It’s a beautiful place to see for the day. The speed limit doesn’t go over 45mph. There’s a great bus tour there too that explains a lot of the history of the island. Definitely worth a trip.

Nantucket is a unique island and has many things to offer and the historic flavor of the island is felt throughout. Bike trails take you all over the island and there are many hiking trails. You can find them on nantucketconservation.org. Beaches are everywhere; the north side being calmer and the south side having the bigger waves for bodysurfing or surfboarding. The Whaling Museum is a must see.

If you haven't been to Nantucket it's a great day trip to go and explore. Take the Hyannis ferry (Hy-Line Cruises) or the ferry in Harwich (Freedom Cruise Line).

Nantucket is a magical island with many beaches, miles of sea biking trails, and fine resturants and fun bars, including the famous Chicken Box!
