There are several beaches north of Cairns, closest are Machans, Holloways, Yorkeys Knob. Palm Cove is about 25 minutes away and is the best with great restaurants and shops and the beach is beautiful. Choose another beach if it is breezy.

Close by and will rent for just one day. Perfect for a day trip to the Daintree. They also have a tour booking office.
