Swimming! Beautiful lake for swimming. Great for children. Directions: Go down Cemetery Road and go left on 13th Lake Road to the bottom to 28. Go left on 28 and go about 16 miles. Just after you go over a causeway, go right to the Public Beach on Chain Lakes Road. Sandy beach, life guard on most days, great for children to run around and swim. Go a mile further and discover the quintessential Adirondack town of Indian Lake.

    “Bob at Blue Mountain boat livery conducts a boat tour of Blue Mountain narrating an entertaining history of the lake and it's inhabitants both past and present. I will say nobody dislikes being trapped on a boat tour more than me. But this tour is an exception to that. We like the evening tour that begins around 6. Bring a bottle of wine and/or beer and some appetizers and enjoy the tour. Bob has been on this like over 4 decades and it an excellent tour guide. Very reasonably priced and well worth a visit.”
