Roberta’s literally put Bushwick on the map: before Roberta’s very few people were venturing out to this corner of Brooklyn. Opened in 2008, Roberta’s still has the best pizza around. They don’t take reservations and you should be prepared to wait. Our favorite item on the menu is the Bee Sting Pizza, featuring spicy soppressata with a drizzle of honey.

Best pizza this side of the river (Brooklyn) Seriously it’s great. The wait can be long, they do have a separate slice outpost if you’re in a hurry.

Right downstairs from us and considered one of the best pizza spots in nyc. All organic and handmade. They also have an outdoor beer garden and homemade ice cream.

“My favorite Ethiopian cafe in America!!! I’ve been to several Ethiopian restaurants on the East Coast and Bunna was my first introduction and my favorite! Everything is vegan, cooked clean, staff is amazing and feels family owned. Try the lentil sambusas while you’re there (think samosa but leaner), the avocado salad, misir wot and the triple Espris fruit smoothie drink! Crazy! Everything on the menu is a go but these are a must try if you go!”
