Boscastle is a very picturesque village and harbour around 8 miles south west of Cancleave. The village became well known when in 2004 it was subject to a devastating flood causing damage to many properties. The village has since been restored and the river channels capacities increased. It boasts a number of pubs, cafes, restaurants and gift shops including a National Trust Visitor Centre.
