There's a fun moderate-level hiking trail that goes up to the top of this mountain, and a great view of the whole city awaits you at the top.

Well maintained 2 mile dirt pedestrian/multiuse loop around mountain (note 1/4 mile significant elevation climb), or take the climb up the mountain for spectacular view of entire Las Vegas Valley (note steep elevation incline in areas and slippery rock face) but well worth the hike. Also a mtn bike single track trail around base of the mtn inside of the main dirt trail. Park at dirt lot off Vegas Vista Trail for easiest access to trailhead to climb mountain. 2 miles north from home.

Follow all the directions and park at the end of Vegas Vista Trail road- the mountain will be towards the east. The first part of the hike was easy. Once you get to the saddle, there is a bench feel free to rest here and there is no shame in turning back. If you want a challenge, head up to the top- the rest of the hike is dusty, dirty, with a steep incline and loose rock. The 360' view at the top is worth a few blisters, sore calves, and a raised heart rate.
