Walk north on Wychwood until you cannot walk North anymore and suddenly you are surrounded by forest in all four directions. Welcome to ravine city. Named for the great cedar trees and the large ravine.

We don't have a dog, but this is all that came up for the Cedarvale Ravine walk, which is a wonderful walk up the street from us. (Well, it's a very very long walk; best to drive or Uber up there, then walk . . .) You go north up Christie, left on St Clair, an immediate right on Humewood, then through the neighbourhood and across Vaughn. Park the car and taaa-daaa, an urban oasis of fields and a beautiful walk through the ravine woods. My favourite place to get a hit of nature in the city.
