While away hours here in historical places of interest, quirky shops and lovely restaurants - and a fudge shop for when your energy levels need a little pick-me-up!

Oldest street in Edinburgh, connecting the Castle and the Palace (Holyrood). Lots of little closes run off it and this is the main Fringe Festival information street full of street performers and flyers.

You'll no doubt see it as we live on the Royal Mile. Can be quite busy and full of tourists but well worth walking the length for the are beautiful buildings, street performers and Scottish shops.
