Memory Grove Park, at the entrance of City Creek Canyon, includes a U.S. veterans memorial, a scenic bridge, a meditation chapel, walking and jogging paths, and an off-leash dog area.
A great little park downtown commemorating World War I. It has a running trail and leads to the mouth of city creek canyon.
Super close to Hillside House. Can also access City Creek Canyon for moreof a hike. There is a Veterans Memorial at Memory Grove.

“Publik is a local coffee roaster that has a few locations in Salt Lake City. This location is in the historic Avenues neighborhood and is a favorite for nearby neighbors, college students, and families. This is a great place to get some work done, as well. They also have my favorite avocado toast in the entire city: thick-cut, freshly baked bread with a generous helping of avocado finished with sea salt, olive oil, and ground black pepper.”

“The Corinthian-style building, which was crafted by architect Richard K.A. Kletting. Visitors can explore the building's five floors and 40-acre grounds as part of guided tours, which are available for free with advance registration. While at the building, visitors can also view the capitol's beautiful Utah heritage artwork and memorials, including its Vietnam War Memorial and Mormon Battalion monument.”

“City Creek is a nice mall in the center of downtown Salt Lake City. Has a wide variety of shops from upscale Tiffanys to a casual Vans shop. Dining is in abundance in the downtown area. As well you can walk to the Salt Lake Temple very easily from here”
