The quaint village of Worth Matravers has some wonderful walks in addition to an award-winning pub, The Square and Compass, famous for its top quality live music, homemade pasties ,cider and ales and fossil museum. Check out their website for some great events such as stone carving, sausage and…
Local favourite, small but perfectly formed. Famous for its ale, pasties and stone-carving.
Great quirky atmospheric pub - famed for being old-school and only selling pasties and rolls from a tiny bar. Great selection of local cider. Close to a lovely walk down to the bay and caves at Winspit. One of our favourite places to go.
People come here for the quaintness a/views and different Ciders/ales . Food is just 2 different sorts of pasty. its tiny inside and has a little fossil museum on the side which little kids like. Great walks from here to dancing ledge
The perfect spot for a reviving pint and pasty after a walk in the Purbecks. Often has live music in its garden. Log fires in the winter.

“Dancing ledge is a great walk down from Worth Matravers, then a bit of rambling over rocks or just watch the waves crashing.”

“A must! Great local food, either a delicious cooked hot meal or soup/bread type lunch. Nice cafe for coffee/cake, afternoon tea and fabulous evening meals. Highly recommend. Nice walk down to Kimmeridge Bay, Clavells Tower, snorkelling, Etching Museum to view fossils.”
