This is the best kept local secret. This trail is located in Joshua Tree National Park, but it's not for the faint of heart. It takes a vehicle that is four-wheel drive, and you should use caution on the one-way dirt road. Once you arrive, you have a 360 view that includes the buttes on the Mesa, Mt. San Gorgonio, Mt. San Jacinto, Yucca Valley, and Palm Springs. The trek is well-worth it.

You can drive up to this area. A really isolated part of the park. Great views, the cooler temperatures, peace, and quiet.

20 min drive to the peak. Just follow the signs. You don't need a 4x4.
