The closest thing we have to a 'proper' balls out restaurant in the middle of nowhere. The kind of place you'd stumble upon in the countryside of Italy or France. Sooooo Charming.

A hidden gem on hwy128 - best to coordinate with arrival or departure to Mendocino since it's a bit of a drive. Reservations are a good idea.

For awesome, local farm to table fare in a beautiful country house setting, head farther west on 128 into Navarro, where you will find the incomparable Bewildered Pig (1810 CA-128, Philo, CA). Truly anything here is amazing, and they serve local wines and beers with top-notch service. The owners are chefs and gardeners, and make sure to check out the surrounding gardens.
