The battlefield/park is about a two hour drive from Oxford but worth a visit if you are looking to use up some time before a late football game. Some of the casualties from this encounter were treated at the Lyceum on campus. A trip to the Confederate Cemetery on campus is a good combination trip with the Shiloh tour.

Shiloh Park is a great place to spend the day with you family tour the park and experience the history in the interactive museum, or come for the live reenactment in April it is a show you will never forget all during the summer months the Park fires off a cannon for the guests to experience bring your picnic lunch and enjoy the day
