Newport is a big sandy beach, with some great rockpools when the tide is out and not to mention the sand dunes to hide in! A fab place to blow the cobwebs away! Lifeguarded in the summer months.
A huge mile long beach that you can see from The Old Rectory. Good clean and safe ratings. Extensive dunes, rock caves, soft sand, long estuary, walk with so many different birds. Birders come from afar to watch them in the wide reed area on the estuary. Nice small cafe and loos but otherwise…
Good beach. Looks a bit like Iceland, what with the dark sand. There are some caves to explore, with seams of what looks like - and therefore almost definitely isn't - gold. Also some dunes. Dog-friendly, even car-friendly sometimes. Paid parking unless you're out of season.
Over a mile of sandy beach with beautiful views of Newport Bay backed by sand dunes and a golf course.
