A local favorite, prefect for kids or a lighter day. I rode here nearly everyday in the late 90s, and recently re-discovered it. And I feel back in love. The woods are wide open here, the trees are well spaced and the crew has done an excellent job of cleaning it out and marking terrain. …

“Branbury is located on the eastern shore of Lake Dunmore at the base of Mt. Moosalamoo. The Green Mountain National Forest is its neighbor to the east. Historically, the 69-acre park operated as a farm at the turn of the century, then as a guest house, summer boy's camp and private beach and picnic area. In 1945, it became Branbury (Brandon-Salisbury) State Park. The 1,000 foot natural sandy beach, clean, clear Lake Dunmore, and the large open grassy areas make the area very popular for swimming, sunning, or picnicking.”

“One of the most picturesque campuses you'll ever see. Walk around, take pictures of the stone buildings, visit the art museum. There is a magnificent stone relief dating from the Assyrian Empire (Iraq) inside among other things.I dont know who stole it but there it is.”
