You go for a ride with the kids, maybe two or three rides and then you visit the Old L.A. Zoo, spooky, haunted, atmospheric within walking distance of the Merry-Go-Round and then you hike up the trail to Bee Rock and, if you have good shoes and leg strength, you climb up to the caves with which it is pocked and, in the evening, watch the bats and swallows.
