One of the three castles joined by a moderately challenging walk, namely Grosmont, Whitecastle and Skenfrith.

Grosmont castle is about 10 miles from us one of very few castles left with the dungeon still viewable.

Grosmont is a member of an illustrious trio of strongholds. Along with Skenfrith and White Castle, it’s one of the ‘Three Castles of Gwent’ built by the Normans to control a key section of troublesome border country. 🗺️ 6.4 miles from Ynys Hut. 📌 Grosmont, Abergavenny, NP7 8EP.

Definitely work visiting and perhaps combine it with lunch or dinner at The Angel pub in Grosmont (details in 'food scene' category). FREE ADMISSION
