Tūroa is one of New Zealand's largest ski areas with the nations longest vertical drop at 722m. Tūroa's 'High Noon Express' 6 seater chairlift reaches the highest lifted point in New Zealand where you'll feel on top of the world... well, on top of the North Island at least! We're open from July through to October for epic skiing and riding.

One of the most beautiful drives in New Zealand and gateway to fantastic walks and fabulous ski slopes. 17kms of rainforest to subalpine then alpine terrain, incredibly scenic.

Only a 30 min drive you find this stunning place. An awesome spot to be on blue bird days. It pays to leave early so you get a good parking spot, and to make the most of your day. You can hire gear if you don't have your own and they offer lessons for all levels. Weekends can be busy so if possible it pays to come and enjoy the slopes mid-week.
