Situated in the heart of Fishguard, the Royal Oak provides excellent food and a good atmosphere for the whole family. And it was the setting for the signing of a peace treaty with the French in 1797, following the last recorded invasion of Britain.
Excellent food and drink. Local Ales. Where the treaty was signed following the last attempted invasion of Britain.
This place is homely, nostalgic and has a rich history connecting to the French invasion. Food is simple and full of flavour, go for the pie of the day if its on the menu - its extremely satisfying on a cold day. Def worth a visit.

“Fabulous Balcony views!! This little cafe has a balcony out at the back which is suspended above the Tenby harbour and North Beach with amazing views of the harbour and beach scene. They do some lovely greek style food and the garlic mushrooms are to die for!!! It is a coffee and cake house too and their coffee is really good! Its a popular spot but worth waiting for a seat - and if you can get out on the small balcony even better!! ”
