My all time favorite breakfast destination. Not sure if it's the homemade toasted bread or sitting in the midst of the local artwork - but it warms my soul. Buy some art to take a little piece of Mt. Gretna back home with you.
They have great breakfast and lunches. The location is VERY close to the cottage....roughly 2 blocks. They stop serving at 1:00 promptly.
Great breakfast/brunch place with homemade sticky buns and baked goods. Very good eggs benedict, omelettes, baked oatmeal and homemade breads including gluten free bread. Their creamy crab corn chowder is delicious!

“It's a fun family outing with either a short hike up a steep trail or a longer hike that's off of Horseshoe Trail. There used to be a small railroad that would take visitors up to the top of the hill where the observation tower is located. Governor Dick Observation Tower is in Governor Dick State Park. It's close to Mount Gretna. Visiting the Jigger Shop for some ice cream or a meal afterwards is a real treat.”

“A quick stop for pizza, subs, and breakfast sandwiches located in 'downtown' Mt. Gretna - which is the intersection of Timber Rd. and Rt. 117. ”

“Very nice family run restaurant and dinner theater. Open all year long, the Timbers evokes memories of days gone by. Dining in front of their large stone fireplace on a cold night is truly special. Wonderful atmosphere and a nice spot to sip a drink and listen to the live jazz trio that plays on weekends. ”
