Run by a local religious sect, but if you are okay with that, has excellent food and a unique hobbit house feel. Closed on Saturdays.

Simple and lovely home grown organic meals in this rustic and quirky cafe. Closed Saturdays. On the way from Katoomba station to Echo Point. You may have to wait for a table but it's worth it.

If you like The Hobbit and similar things, you should definitely go to Yellow Deli Café. It is a haven of recycled wood, basket lamps, and charming paintings. The café specialises in gourmet sandwiches and my personal favourite is the Reuben and the Deli Rose. My favourite drink is the chilled yerba maté. It gets very full during the weekend and so you must book in advance. My line is always – I live locally and they seem to give me a spot quicker 😊
