The traffic to the Purbecks can be bad, but if you leave early, you can usually beat it. Also, avoid using the car ferry at Sandbanks (drive around the harbour) unless you go by bike (in which case you can zoom past the queuing cars!). Kimmeridge itself is incredible for snorkeling or…
Overlooked by Clavell's Tower on the headland. Kimmeridge Bay is a great place for fossils and rock pools.
A beautiful unspoilt Bay. perfect for a lazy afternoon or a spot of rock pooling.

“Built in the C17th, this magnificent building is steeped in history. Originally built as a hunting lodge to entertain aristocracy and royalty, it was for centuries the family seat of the Weld family, the current owners of the Lulworth Estate. Ravaged by fire in 1929, it has been partly restored in a pioneering partnership with English Heritage. With extensive parkland, woodland walks, a children’s playground, the spacious grounds are yours to enjoy. Visit the Castle Tearoom for refreshments and souvenirs.”
