One of Canada's most beautiful beaches. Reminiscent of the Bahamas...

This beach was for a long time a local secret but more recently in the past few years the secret has gotten out! This beach goes on for miles with little pools in between and sand dunes surrounding. It is gorgeous and with the white sand and aqua water you can really believe you are in the Caribbean, at least until you put your toes in the freezing water! A must see for sure!

The pure white sand and tropical coloured water will make you feel as if you’ve stepped into paradise — don’t worry, dipping your toe in the water will remind you that you’re in Nova Scotia though.

Carters Beach is simply one of the most beautiful beaches in Nova Scotia. It is essentially three beaches in one, with three crescent areas one after another. All three are made up of soft white sand. The kids love walking the beach in search of sand dollars as much as they enjoy playing in the water. The parking area for this beach is not large so it can appear crowded even when the beaches are not. There are no change areas or washrooms at Carters Beach.
