The entire Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site is accessible via the South West Coast Path National Trail. The Path can offer stunning views, with a bird’s eye view of many coastal features. From the path you can experience the drama of sheer cliff faces, wonder at the strangely eroded rock …

The Jurassic Coast is a hugely diverse and beautiful landscape underpinned by incredible geology of global importance. In 2001 it became a World Heritage Site.

We are only 45 minutes away from the beautiful Jurassic coastline. My favourite places to visit are Weymouth, Burton Bradstock with the amazing Hive cafe. Bridport, west bay and Lyme Regis. All are great days out.

This World Heritage Coast is not far away. it stretches East from Exmouth to Weymouth. Walk the South West Coast Path over cliffs and beaches. The towns and villages are famous for fossil hunting, mackerel fishing and beach front pubs.

“This is our nearest pub, about 5 mins ( 2.6 miles) in the car or about a 40 minute walk through the local fields and along the river piddle. If you bring your bikes you can get there in about 20 mins along a lovely quiet country lane which is virtually flat all the way! The food is quite typical of a but always seems to be well cooked and presented. Nice little seating area at the front and the pub is quite roomy inside when eating. ”

“This has to be my all time favourite!! The Station Kitchen is situated in a converted railway carriage at the platform of the old West Bay Station, they have the loveliest staff there and after a drink in the former waiting room, you are shown to your table within the converted carriage. You should google it to appreciate the quirky and fabulous features this truly is a one off place and I have NEVER had a bad meal there, it is excellent specialising in using locally sourced, seasonal produce. It really is a delight!”

“Great place to walk the dogs and kids. There is a big playground at one end and a lovely cafe at the other. Lots of hidden ponds and waterfalls too. ”
