Kinghorn Harbour is a lovely little harbour with a sandy beach and plenty of rock pools. Quiet and good for dogs and children too. There is a small cafe and a lifeboat base. You can see Edinburgh on a clear day and if you’re very lucky you may spot occasional dolphins. A small shop sells all you need for a day at the beach, including buckets and spades as well as snacks
