100% worth the tour over to Bristol! One of the best swimming holes in the whole state! Be safe, be aware of the conditions and water depths. But be sure to check out the cave behind the falls!
I suggest going up the road from the falls to “Circle Current “. Deep pools and flat sunning rock area.
Quintessential vermont swimming hole. Go into the town of Bristol to get a picnic at the local bakery then camp out and swim at the falls.
Local swim hole in Bristol in mountain stream entering Champlain valley. Gets busy on hot days so weekday in morning advised.
Great place small place to swim. Can be busy with locals. The drive is very picturesque!

“Check out Lowell Thompson playing there every Tuesday evening. Great music to accompany their Taco Tuesday menu. Lowell is a legend in the local music scene and to catch him on such a small stage is quite a stroke of luck.”

“The trail head to the top of Mt. Abraham begins here. It is about a four and a half hike, round trip. The view at the summit is spectacular on a clear day. ”

“Bristol is our local "go to" town, just south of Starksboro. It's an iconic Vermont village, complete with Village Green and gazebo. Many locally owned shops and galleries line the main street, and there are restaurants and cafes to enjoy. It also has a Rite Aid pharmacy and and Shaw's supermarket where you can re-supply, and of course, a good wine and beverage shop.”
