I really like it here, it's pretty low-key but has recreations of how old Welsh houses used to be etc, and the staff are supremely friendly and informative.

Housed in a beautifully preserved Edwardian theatre and is situated in the heart of Aberystwyth, near the seafront. The museum is home to both permanent and temporary displays that explore Ceredigion’s heritage, culture and art. The museum is open to everyone; young, old and everyone in between.

Housed in a beautifully preserved Edwardian theatre. We are situated in the heart of Aberystwyth, near the seafront. We are open Monday to Saturday from 10-5pm and entry is free. The museum is home to both permanent and temporary displays that explore Ceredigion’s heritage, culture and art. The museum is open to everyone; young, old and everyone in between. As well as being a thriving museum we also have film nights, performances, workshops, a bustling café serving delicious local produce and a museum shop.

A fantastic Museum located in the middle of Aberystwyth and perhaps the most beautiful museum interior. Housed in the fine old Coliseum Theatre it showcases the history of Aberystwyth and the county of Ceredigion through exhibitions and displays from prehistoric times to today.
