The Root & Pecker is Gainsville's premier farm to table restaurant. It is some of the best tasting food available in this area and it is ethically sourced, local and consciously prepared! The eclectic menu offers impeccable options for the choosiest raw vegan, vegan, vegetarian and non-vegetarians who care about where food comes from and its relationship to the health of people and the planet. This high-vibration spot is perfect for lunch (everyday) or dinner (Wed-Sat) and they do have live music as well. Some of our favorites are the California Club, Raw Vegan Nachos, all of the salads with homemade vegan dressings, and the fresh raw smoothies. For dinner, enjoy one of their signature homemade pizzas with a bottle of wine or a microbrew.
