The fort Kaštelina - the ruins of the walls of the Venetian fortress that served to defend against deserters and Turks is one of the most famous sights of the island of Vir and located in the area called shallots and is considered to be built in the early 17th century. The remains of the fortifications were restored at the beginning of this century. Impressive are the remains of the two well-preserved tower on which can be seen on the north side of a winged lion, and on the south three hump prominent Venetian family.
