At the Puffing Billy, they pride themselves on offering a fantastic selection of local foods and drinks. They make use of local butchers, bakers and milkman having fresh deliveries from all three daily, they only use organic milk to insure a fairer price for local farmers. As well as using producers from the town they also have great links and suppliers from the wider Westcountry including Exmoor Chutneys from Brendon Hills, Ice cream from Tennacott farm and Pasties from the Cornish Posh Pasty Company. They also have a fantastic range of ales and ciders including Brooksys scrumpy, Sams cider, Doom Bar, Tribute as well as guest ales from Country Life Brewery in Bideford.

Located by the side of the Tarka Trail (the old railway track which stretches for 118 miles!!) this café is converted from the old Torrington Railway Station. Good food and coffee and atmosphere with a vintage train on the track outside. Can be accessed on foot, by bike or by car. Park the car in the large car park and walk/cycle along the Trail 01805 623050

Another lovely stop for a cream tea! Torrington bike hire and service centre is opposite which may be useful.
