In the winter there's a place to ice skate in the city. They also have a little market set-up downtown. I recommend downloading the park Detroit app before you leave :)
Great place to walk around or just to have a seat and chill. Offering ice skating w/heated tents during the winter and sandy relaxation in the summer month.
It is in the center of downtown always hosting events all year around surrounded by great restaurants and sometimes live music.
