The Great Southern Distilling Company, has distilleries in Albany and Porongurup, in Western Australia’s Great Southern Region. The Albany distillery produces the internationally acclaimed and multi-award winning Limeburners Single Malt Whisky. The Porongurup distillery makes Tiger Snake Sour Mash Whiskey, Brandy and Rum. The leading Australian gin brand of ‘Giniversity’ is made at the Margaret River Distilling Company, which Cameron opened in 2015. World leading whisky critic Jim Murray has recognised Great Southern Distilling Company as one of the World’s great distilleries, and a number of international Trophies also acknowledge that they have achieved the owner’s goal of producing some of the World’s best whisky and spirits. All spirits can be tasted at the distillery in Albany.

I don't usually drink spirits, but I just love the taste of the drinks that are distilled here, and I love the view of Princess Royal Harbour. The perfect place to have a coffee, a cocktail or a glass or more of the locally distilled range.

"Limeburners" is a locally brewed brand of whiskey and gin. Excellent quality - available daily for tastings and sales - overlooking the harbour and they serve lunch too !
