a karst formation where a sinkhole that ordinarily drains into an underground stream system will back up after a heavy rain. When the Ball Mill Resurgence backs up during heavy rains, rocks are tumbled around inside the water and become somewhat polished and round. Hence the name “ball mill”. Enjoy a .75 mile hike while you enjoy what is considered to be the one of the best examples in the state.
