This place has wonderful Mormon-style food, it is staffed by the missionaries, but is not at all about proselytizing. One of the oldest restaurants in town, it's a must-eat!

Order up some Lion House Rolls. The Lion House was occupied by Salt Lake's founder and perhaps most famous resident, Brigham Young. Located on the LDS Church Headquarters grounds, adjacent to another of Brigham Young's stately homes (the Beehive House), the Lion House is a reception hall and restaurant (called the Lion House Pantry). The warm, fluffy rolls, traditionally part of many Salt Lakers' Thanksgiving celebrations, are its signature menu item and a walk by the place in the morning as the rolls bake inside will have your stomach growling. The Lion House Pantry is open six days a week.

Fantastic, inexpensive breakfast buffet a half a block away. Try the creme brule french toast!
